The Baltic Sea - Our Mutual Agony

The 2004 enredo of Papagaio takes up a stand for an issue close to the Helsinki citizens, The Baltic Sea. It is still an important travel route and a refreshment area but the state of it is not the best possible. With our parade we want to show everyone the beauty of the Baltic Sea as well as the alerting state of it.

In our enredo the Baltic Sea is observed from the sailor's point of view. He reaches the Baltic Sea through the Danish strait following the lighthouses and navigating towards Helsinki. During his journey he sees the beauty as well as the other side of the Baltic Sea. However, the enredo will finish to big celebration when the sailor arrives Helsinki with the view to the dome-shaped roof of the white Helsinki Cathedral. When he reaches the harbor he will join to watch the gorgeous samba parade at Esplanadi.
