THE FLAG

Each authentic samba school is identified through their own flag and their own colours. In the carnival parade, the flag is carried by "Porta-Bandeira", the female standard bearer, accompanied by "Mestre-Sala", the male dance master. The standard bearer couple and the flag represent the entire samba school, its people and activity.

The colours of G.R.E.S. Império do Papagaio are red, green and gold/yellow, and the symbol is a parrot.
